Writing Essays - Change Topics in an Essay

Writing Essays - Change Topics in an EssayAs you are putting together your essay, it can be tempting to change topics at just about any point. That is one of the common reasons people struggle with the essay and abandon the whole thing. You will have to remember that the best way to write a successful essay is to change topics at the right times.Do not become distracted by the prospect of changing topics and losing your audience completely. Instead, focus on writing and finding a new topic. As you are working, examine the essay writing process and review when you changed the topic. The easiest way to change topics is to pause and go back and read your essay. The next time you resume writing, look at the sentence and see if it makes sense. By looking at the essay, you can see whether the words are moving and if the sentence is fully formed. After a while, you will find yourself working on the major points of the essay. When this happens, you will want to start the next part of the essay by revisiting the old points. This is an effective method of writing, but you will want to add more words than usual. If you begin with the short paragraph you wrote earlier, you will have a good chance of being able to add words to your sentences.Essays are written to be finished. If you do not have the proper techniques for writing a concise and clear essay, then your student will notice. He or she will take a second look at your essay and then pass it. If you lose your audience entirely, your audience will know that you did not understand the basic essay composition principles.Another way to move from one paragraph to the next is to use a thesaurus. Review the word or words you are using and use them all over the essay. Your readers will find the usage of the word or words important and thus they will continue to be used throughout the essay.Simply reading the word usage of others can be helpful as well. However, it is always better to get the definition of the word and then use it in your essay. Remember that the word 'important' means different things to different people, and therefore you will want to use it differently than another reader. If you feel the need to change topics in an essay, then make sure you are not reading your essay backwards. If you are, you will miss important points in your essay. Use a thesis statement instead of a different topic every time. You should be able to write an essay that includes both in its composition.
